Apprenticeships are a great way to gain qualifications while you work and earn a wage. They might be a suitable alternative for you instead of University after your A Levels, or if you find that completing your A levels is just not for you or what you expected!

What are Apprenticeship Levels?

• Foundation Apprenticeship - you would usually gain a Level 2 qualification (equivalent to GCSE A*-C Level) that is relevant to the job
• Apprenticeship - you would work towards a Level 3 qualification (equivalent to A Levels) that is relevant to the job. You will usually need GCSEs for this level - most likely Maths and/or English.
• Higher Apprenticeship - you would work towards a higher qualification of Level 4 and above. This could be an HNC/HND or Foundation Degree. Again, you will need GCSEs for this level - usually Maths and/or English - sometimes (but not always) an A/AS level qualification is also required.
• Degree Apprenticeship - these offer learning at Level 5/6 and provide the opportunity to gain a full bachelor's degree. They combine working with studying part time at a university or college Apprenticeship Levels. You will usually need at least 1/2 A levels for this routeway.

NETWORK 75

Network 75 is similar to a 'degree apprenticeship' route that the University of South Wales (USW) offer which is fee/loan free and you earn as you learn! You apply for this in addition to UCAS entry. (It does not form part of your possible x5 UCAS choices) Here is the link:
